Photo Competition 2020
This year our group held a photographic competition in an attempt to make up for the lack of shows and herd visits we would normally enjoy.
There were four classes: A funny picture with a caption, a cute picture with or without a caption, a picture of a single Dexter and a picture of a group of Dexters.
I am pleased to be able to announce the results of the competition here on our website! There are three places for each class, plus an overall champion and reserve! Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
Overall Champion
Herd of black cattle - by Joan Angel
Reserve Champion
Funny picture with a caption - The Brookes Family
Thank you to everyone who entered and special thanks to our judge, Ray Bowler.
Come and Join Us!
Membership is just £10 for the year and we have several visits throughout the year to look at some of the finest Dexter Cattle in the country. Owning any Dexters is not a requirement so long as you are as passionate about the breed as we are!!

Meetings and Other News
Our 2019 Spring meeting was by kind invitation of Nigel and Sue Dixon near Cromer. We were blessed with lovely weather and enjoyed viewing the various groups of Dexters (and sheep!) out in the sprawling fields. We were treated to a wonderful spread for lunch and even had a raffle, with most attendee's taking home a prize!
2019's Autumn meeting took place in Tewin, Hertfordshire, where we visited Adrian and Roe Hill's fabulous setup. Though it rained throughout the day, everyone enjoyed the guided tractor and (covered) trailer tour of the farm; though some were wetter upon exiting the trailer than when they had entered!
We were kindly allowed the use of the on site cafe for our lunch and meeting, where we were treated to lovely food and had fun watching the presentation of the year's herd competition.
Our first get together of the new year was our annual group AGM, which was this year held at The Bell Hotel in Thetford. It was good to catch up on everyone's news and make plans for the year ahead, whilst also enjoying an excellent carvery in a lovely, spacious meeting room.
